Pink and brown wedding anniversary

Dark chocolate all around in this two tier wedding anniversary cake.

First Holy communion - silver, white and blue

Cake for Tim for his first Holy communion. Colour scheme was blue, silver and white with a rosary on top. For the observant one, the crucifix is upside down in the photo. Luckily, I noticed my mistake and corrected it before delivering the cake :-)!

Colour burst :-)

Small cake with lots of attitude! Happy colours on this lime and coconut cake :-)

Black and white for wedding anniversary

This was for a family celebration of a 10th wedding anniversary. The bottom tier was a rich fruit cake and the top was a light textured lemon cake filled with lemon curd buttercream.

First holy communion cake for Mia

Simple, clean and plenty of pretty flowers on this cake to celebrate Mia's first holy communion.

Noah's arc

Chocolate cake filled with dark chocolate ganache inside this arc:-)

Easter bunny cake

Easter cake with bunnies and carrots :-). This one was made for a charity event in Valetta yesterday - a cake decorating competition, and this one won first prize! I was delighted and it was great fun. Hopefully an event like this will come around again soon :-)

Crocodile cake

Crocodile cake for a 5-year old birthday boy:-). Inside it was a vanilla sponge with vanilla bean buttercream filling, tinted green :-).

Pink and brown macarons

Pink and brown are very pretty together, makes for very girly cakes but it will always make me think of the magnificently beautiful almond trees here in Malta, which blossom in Spring, with very delicate and beautiful pink flowers :-). These macarons were filled with milk chocolate, dark chocolate and blackberry truffle. All delicious and looking very cute, wrapped up and ready to go :-)

Synchronised swimming cake - pool

A lovely eight year old girl, seriously into synchronised swimming, wanted a pool-cake with her and her best friend in it! The board alone took a loong time to make but came out cool in the end :-). The cake inside was lemon, with a lemon curd buttercream filling.

1920s murder mystery cake

A friend of mine was having a murder mystery dinner, set in the 1920s, so I made this cake with feathers, sequins and a (blood) red rose :-). The cake itself was coffee and walnut, with an espresso buttercream filling, ganached with dark chocolate and finally covered in sugarpaste.

Colourful elephants

This was a small cake I made for the celebration of a little boy's first birthday. It was an almond, lemon and poppyseed cake covered with colourful elephants as the birthday boy's favourite cuddly toy is an elephant :-)

White, red and lime wedding cake

This wedding cake had two tiers of lemon cake, with a lemon buttercream filling. It was simple and clean-looking, but still very pretty with whie satin ribbons and piped white pearls in rows along the base of the two tiers. It was simply decorated with red roses and lime coloured leaves to match the bridal bouquet.

Pink owl with green ruffles

Another owl cake, very similar to one I made wich was pink too, and with pink ruffles on the side. This one was a vanilla sponge with a fresh strawberry and vanilla filling.

Pretty pink owl with ruffles

A really cute chocolate cake made for a baby shower this week, with a sleeping owl on top and with the sides covered in white and pink ruffles.

Pink and white wedding pearls

A pink and white wedding cake with two different flavours. The bottom tier was a lemon sponge and a lemon buttercream filling, and the top was a white chocolate sponge with passion fruit filling. One for me, one for you :-)

Super Mario cupcakes for schoool

The policy at our school is to not bring in big birthday cakes for the big day but to instead have cupcakes or other individual bites for the kids. It works well for all and the children love having their own little 'cake' to enjoy.

Angry birds!

Have made a few of these cakes lately - little boys can't seem to get enough of these birds and piggies :-). Even made matching cupcakes and cookies and there is one Angry bird space cake too.
